POEM #2

emotional, poetry, dance

we can dance if we want to

we can dance if we want to

we can dance in the lonely

desolate empty streets

we can dance in our

small tiny apartments

with our cats.

we can dance together

but through a screen.

when i dance without you

it feels so freeing

but it also makes me miss you.

i'm stuck dancing in lonely town.

me and you,

we never danced before.

but i keep imagining it

and how your touch feels

when you spin me around.

and you dip me

and pick me back up

and we lock eyes

and smile.

even when this is over,

this will remain a fantasy

because you'll never dance with me
